Tired of the view from your balcony? Want to change the neighborhood or maybe take fresh air in the sand? So close your home, put into a truck and take anywhere.
This is the proposal of Brazilian Felipe Campolina architect, who designed the Portability Housing - modular homes that can be easily transported and fitted in a vertical structure, forming a building.
The miner of 28 years has created an international competition to design skyscrapers of the Future organized by the magazine Evol. "The project took place from the existing one, the prefabricated unit," he explains. "Actually, now that I presented was the development of the tower to house a large quantity of them," he says.
The spread of the houses of 32m2 is that part of the bathroom and bedroom can be closed on the living room and kitchen, forming a structure of only 17m2 easily transportable.
All built on slabs of plywood (OSB), she receives reinforcement steel, and out of a green wall. Plants grown in these niches outside help to keep the thermal and acoustic comfort, reducing the need for energy consumption.
"My inspiration was a movement in postwar Japan. In the 50s, there was a group of architects called Metabolist, who worked with these pre-fabricated units, "says Campolina.
The great advantage of this type of construction is speed and uniformity of the houses. Furthermore, it uses various recycled and recyclable materials, and have a system for water reuse.
In the case of the planned tower, ramps would the elevation of the modules to separate spaces in advance. There would be enough "open" the overlap and furnish the house.
However, it is noteworthy that the project has a question utopian, since it was developed for a contest. "The unit is perfectly feasible, but the tower itself, did not work still some issues, such as hydraulics," says the architect.
