Manufacturers and importers of lighting equipment

By 2012, incandescent bulbs will disappear from the European market. The decision, approved by the Regulatory Ecodesign in the European Union, is consistent with the current phase of the power sector worldwide focus on energy efficiency in products and services. In addition to the 27 member states of the European community, the United States, Australia, Canada and the Philippines are examples of other countries that have taken such positions, by replacing less energy efficient equipment, for others with lower power consumption, such as lamps fluorescent. Brazil also has such initiatives. The bill, PL-I 161/2007, the congressman Arnon Bezerra (PTB / CE), which is ongoing in Congress along with the PL-3652/200a proposes that prohibited "the manufacture, importation, marketing and the use of incandescent bulbs and their replacement by 2010 for fluorescent lamps.

The Magazine The Electricity Sector, in its September issue, published a survey of 140 companies in the segment on the lighting market. The guide was developed with new developments of the five regions of the country, who act as manufacturers and importers. These companies, in turn, are subdivided according to the main segment of activity: industrial, commercial, residential or public. Besides knowing which area of operation, the guide provides information about the products manufactured, as the traditional incandescent, fluorescent and the economic modern LED lamps, and the type of services that companies provide, such as projects, installation and maintenance of lighting systems. The research also shows that service companies have customer service, whether by phone or internet, which have the ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14000 (environmental management) and which carry out social responsibility programs.
